Matcha is a special something. Word is it's very healthy. Think of green tea but then more intens. I got involved with matcha while doing a photoshoot for Matchaoishii, for their website.
You have the ceremonial version, that one you drink as a tea, and the regular version which you use is your baking and in drinks like this.
Personally I like warm matcha less, but cold I find it very refreshing.
You can choose to mix everything immediately but if you want a nice swirl like this you'd need to mix the matcha with some water first. Then you pour it into the milk.
iced matcha latte
- 200 ml milk
- 1 teaspoon matcha
- 2 tablespoon water
- 1 a 2 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
- ice cubes
- Whisk the matcha together with some water until al the lump are gone.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes, milk, honey and vanilla and stir. Then add the matcha. That's all.
